'Tragic': 3 teenagers found dead in home outside of Houston, authorities say – USA TODAY

HOUSTON — Three teens were found dead Tuesday in a home northeast of the city in what police say appears to be a double murder-suicide.
A family member who lives next door discovered the three bodies — two females and one male — Tuesday afternoon while they were “trying to locate someone,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said at a news conference.
The person who owns the home, which is located in a rural area near the community of Crosby about 25 miles northeast of Houston, is believed to have been away on a trip, Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez said it appears one of the teens killed the two others before dying by suicide, adding that police have not yet confirmed their ages. He said the firearm that appears to have been involved was found at the scene.
Police are working to determine a motive and the connections between the three teens, Gonzalez said, calling the deaths “senseless” and “tragic.”
“These are always highly charged, very emotional. We understand that,” he said. “Our condolences go out to their family.”
“It’s extremely difficult when we’re talking about young people,” Gonzalez added.
