NFTs, or “non-fungible tokens,” are having their breakthrough moment. In just the past few months, they’ve evolved from mostly curiosities to more commonplace collectibles. On Thursday alone, people spent nearly $195 million buying up almost 93,700 NFTs, according to website NFT Stats, while Denmark-based Influencer Marketing Hub reports NFT trading volume added up to nearly $11 billion in the third quarter of 2021.
