Marin County COVID-19 Status Update for December 8, 2021 includes Tomorrow: Public Health Update for the School Community; Marin Wellness Week Reminder; and updated local COVID-19 data.

The Marin County COVID-19 Status Update is published weekdays and as needed to share important news and resources related to the COVID-19 pandemic and to keep the local economy running. We remain here for you.
 
Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) will host an online Public Health Update this Thursday, December 9, at 4:00PM for school staff, teachers, administrators, parents and guardians. The virtual event will feature Marin Public Health Officers Dr. Matt Willis and Dr. Lisa Santora who will help answer questions from the community.  The event will be hosted via Zoom in English with live Spanish translation available. The session will be recorded and posted on the Rethinking Schools Website.

The pandemic has focused our attention on the physical dimension of wellness, or physical health. While physical health is an important component of wellness, it is only one of 8 components, and each one is important for overall wellbeing and wellness.  
Now through December 10 is Wellness Week Marin. Each day has activities at 7:45am, noon, and 3:00pm related to a different component of wellness. Don’t worry if you missed a previous day’s activity – each activity is available online and recordings are also available.  
Thank you to Marin County Public Health (MCPH) and Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) for reminding us that health is a part of wellness and encouraging each Marin resident to nurture themselves. Thank you also to our community partners for providing the support to make this possible.
