Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Dan Crenshaw are clashing on social media after the Georgia conservative implored the Texas Republican to “stop calling himself a conservative” for suggesting the Federal Emergency Management Agency could aid in COVID-19 testing.
Crenshaw responded by calling Greene an “idiot.”
During an interview with Fox News Channel last week, Crenshaw said the federal government should utilize FEMA to expand testing nationwide. 
“I’m a conservative, I always make sure people know there is only so much government can do,” Crenshaw said. “What the federal government should be doing again, using their FEMA resources to bolster a lot of these testing sites, open up new testing sites … this is what we saw happen during the Trump administration.”

Crenshaw also said the federal government should focus more resources on distributing monoclonal antibodies faster and reducing the toll on hospitals by recruiting health care workers from the military or FEMA.
On Sunday, Greene reprimanded Crenshaw from her Gab.com account.
“No FEMA should not set up testing sites to check for Omicron sneezes, coughs, and runny noses,” Greene posted along with a link to Crenshaw’s Fox News interview. “He needs to stop calling himself conservative, he’s hurting our brand.”
The Georgia Republican has heavily criticized federally-mandated COVID-19 safety precautions. Twitter permanently banned Greene’s personal account Sunday for repeatedly promoting COVID-19 misinformation.
Facebook also banned Greene for 24 hours for a misleading post about the coronavirus.
Crenshaw fired back in an Instagram story, posting “Hey Marjorie, if suggesting we should follow Trump policy instead of Biden mandates makes you mad, then you might be a Democrat – or just an idiot.”

Greene responded Monday, implying that her criticism of Crenshaw got her kicked off Twitter. 
“All I said was NO, we don’t want FEMA doing any of that and hospitals need to hire back unvaccinated (health care workers),” she posted to GETTR, the social media platform founded by Jason Miller, an adviser to former President Donald Trump. “Then POOF! I’m kicked off Twitter!”
Greene is a member of the House Freedom Caucus, which Crenshaw recently denounced caucus members as “grifters” and “performance artists.”
