A wellness center, independently operated by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, opened earlier this week at Ashley Furniture’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Manufacturing and Distribution Center in Advance. The Ashley Wellness Center is open to Ashely Furniture employees and their family members.
“This is an exciting time for us to bring this important benefit to our employees and their families,” Todd Wanek, president and CEO of Ashley Furniture Industries, said. “The new clinic allows Ashley to continue and to expand on our commitment to our employees to offer affordable and convenient high quality health care services close to home.”
The on-site wellness clinic features a range of car from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist providers, such as sick visits; Covid-19, flu and strep tests; wellness exams; and health management services for diabetes and high cholesterol.
With any insurance coverage provided by an Ashley health plan, there is no copay for Ashley employees and their family members.
“We know that providing care at the place of work improves access to care for employees, ensuring better outcomes and lower health care costs,” SAID Danielle Lamphier, vice president of enterprise employer services with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
Ashley established wellness centers at their Arcadia, Wis., and Ecru, Miss. Campuses. These clinics have helped save millions of dollars for Ashley employees and their families over the years, the company stated.
Ashley’s facility in Advance was established in 2013 and produces upholstery and case goods home furnishings. The company also has a manufacturing facility in Statesville that produces ready-to-assemble furniture.
