The TCU Horned Frogs jumped to No. 4 in the USA Today poll, which is voted on by coaches. That counts as part of the BCS formula and it could help TCU maintain its slim lead on Boise State when the new standings come out today. TCU is barely in front — 6 points — of Boise State in the poll. TCU was two spots behind in the Harris poll last week. That poll has not been released this week yet. Texas’ impressive performance at Oklahoma State pushed the Longhorns past Alabama in the latest USA Today poll. Florida remains No. 1 with Alabama No. 3. If Texas wins out, the Longhorns will play for a national title, probably facing the winner of the Florida-Alabama game, should they meet in the SEC Championship.
