West Ham complete the signing of midfielder Flynn Downes
West Ham United have completed the signing of Flynn Downes from Swansea City.
The midfielder has signed a five-year contract with West Ham.
The London club will pay an initial £9 million for Downes but the fee could rise to as high as £14 million if several clauses are met.
Downes told the West Ham website upon completing his move: “It’s a surreal feeling to have joined my boyhood club. I feel like I’m dreaming.
“It’s been my dream since I was a little boy to join this club – it’s an absolute privilege. This is my club, so I couldn’t be more delighted."
Ronaldo not part of Man Utd's pre-season tour
Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of Manchester United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.
The Portuguese forward has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Italians love Canada!
Reports indicate that yet another Italian may be on his way to Major League Soccer. Toronto FC are close to signing free agent Federico Bernardeschi, according to Sky Italia. The Italian winger saw his contract with Juventus expire this summer and is understood to be open to joining a new league, after negotiations with several Serie A clubs failed.
Should the move get the green light, Bernardeschi would be the third Italian player to join Toronto FC roster, following the transfers of Domenico Criscito and Lorenzo Insigne. 
Juventus keen on Matthijs de Ligt
Matthijs de Ligt is has made it clear that he intends to leave Juventus this summer, with both Chelsea and Bayern Munich having openly expressed an interest in signing the big Dutch defender. Juventus are in fact open to selling him, but are demanding a high price given that they paid him close to €75 million in the summer of 2019.
It is understood that Bayern Munich held talks with the player and will now start a direct conversation with Juventus to reach an agreement. Additionally, it's been reported that in their attempt to bring him to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea proposed the inclusion of Timo Werner in a deal, but the Bianconeri refused the option. 
De Ketelaere snubs Leeds in favor of AC Milan
It's clear that AC Milan are on a mission to reinforce their ranks during the transfer window. As things stand it now appears that they are in talks with the talented Belgian, Charles De Ketelaere
The player indicated that he was not interested in signing for Leeds United, who showed interest in the past weeks, with reports suggesting that they made an offer of a €35 million with bonuses, according to Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws.
De Ketelaere at the moment would prefer to join the Italian side, after having talks with both coach Stefano Pioli and AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini. 
Zlatan to stay in Milan for one more year!
It looks like the King will sit on his thrown for another season. Reports now confirm that Zlatan Ibrahimović will play another year with AC Milan. This despite undergoing a knee surgery that will keep him out until the end of the calendar year, proving that the 40-year-old Swedish striker is still as good as it gets. The deal with the Rossoneri runs until the summer 2023.and will see Ibrahimović receive a salary of around €1.5 million, with add-ons related to goals and assists, Sky Italia reports. Zlatan Ibrahimović decided to stay and to postpone his retirement from soccer at least for another season. 
Di Maria to join Juventus
Juventus are finally set to announce Angel Di Maria as their new signing after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired last June. The Argentinian winger is expected to arrive in Turin before the end of this week to undergo his medical exam with the Italian club and then to sign a one-year deal until the summer of 2023. After long conversations that started in May, Di Maria has finally decided to join Juventus and to start a new chapter in Serie A soccer.

With terms now agreed, it's simply a matter of time before Sterling becomes the latest to join the Londoners. A consistent performer for Manchester City, it will be interesting to see how the England international fits in with his new club, who incidentally he's never scored against.
Lenglet set for Spurs move

AS journalist Manu Sainz says Cristiano Ronaldo would jump at the chance to rejoin Real Madrid – and that head coach Carlo Ancelotti would be “delighted” if the Portugal captain returned to the Bernabéu.
“It’s five to nine right now… at the latest, he’d be in Madrid by ten-thirty, ready to sign on the dotted line,” Sainz told an online AS Q&A when asked how the Manchester United star would respond to an offer from Madrid. “The money on offer wouldn’t matter to him."
Sainz added: “‘Carletto’ [Ancelotti] would be delighted to have Cristiano in his squad again, and Cristiano would cry tears of joy if [Madrid general manager] José Ángel Sánchez or [club president] Florentino Pérez told him they wanted him.”

The Telegraph's James Tucker reports that Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong's summer transfer to Manchester United is being held by unpaid wages at the Camp Nou. Tucker says Barça owe De Jong around $20m – money that the Dutch international agreed to defer earlier in the pandemic, as the cash-strapped Catalans sought to deal with the financial impact of covid-19.
