Serotonin Centers, a health and wellness company, said it’s expanding into the New York/New Jersey area by opening its first location in Colts Neck, New Jersey, later this fall.
Orlando, Florida-based Serotonin, which describes itself as an anti-aging, hormone and weight-loss therapy company, said it plans four more locations in New Jersey in the coming years.
The company broke ground this month on the Colts Neck location at 178 Route 537.
“Exact details on the remaining locations have not yet been made public,” Serotonin said in a statement. On its website, the company lists future New Jersey locations in Wall, Shrewsbury, Marlboro and Livingston.
The business said it has one open location in Windermere, Florida, with 10 others planned for Florida, and two each planned for Texas and Arizona.
All five New Jersey locations will be operated and co-owned by Dr. Lisa Granado and Danielle D’Alessio.
Serotonin Centers founder Eric Casaburi was profiled by sibling publication the Orlando Business Journal last month, when he said a recent $6.5 million investment will fund five new Central Florida locations with U.S. expansion forthcoming. Each Serotonin Center, he said, ranges from 2,600 to 3,000 square feet and total project costs run from $1 million to $1.3 million.
“People want to take care of themselves, and technology has evolved and so has medicine. This has allowed for a better opportunity for people to manage and take control of their health,” Casaburi told the Orlando Business Journal.
