Brenham and Washington County will “Paint the Town Pink” tomorrow (Thursday).
This year’s “Paint the Town Pink” event is taking place as part of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s Community Health, Fitness & Wellness Expo, scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon at the Blinn College Student Center.
Visitors are invited to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness as they meet with various exhibitors and learn about the services they provide.  They can also attend information sessions hosted by four presenters talking about mental health, senior care, nutrition and fitness, and women’s health.
The expo and information sessions are free to the community.  After their conclusion, a ticketed luncheon will host a keynote speaker and a panel of experts to discuss the current state and future prospects of healthcare.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Tiffany J. Berry, Vice President of Primary Care at Baylor Scott & White.  The panel will consist of Jason Jennings, President of Baylor Scott & White Health – College Station Region; Dr. Eric Alford, BSWH Family Medicine/Regional Medical Director; and Dr. Seth Sullivan, BSWH Infectious Disease.
Paint the Town Pink is an annual initiative to raise funds for breast cancer research.
