Experience: Experience: At least 3 years news reporting and editing. Position is scalable to appropriately support and compensate candidates at a senior level.
Reporting to: Managing Editor, Regulatory Focus
Details: Combination of office and home-based work; or, fully remote outside of the DC area.
Start Date: January 2022
Regulatory Focus seeks an enterprising and creative news editor/reporter to help inform the professionals who bring lifesaving medicines and medical devices to market around the world. 
Regulatory Focus is the only source of timely, quality regulatory news, information and analysis that is fully dedicated to covering regulatory issues associated with healthcare products and the regulatory profession. We are an independent news group that is part of RAPS – the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for news who is deeply interested in immersing themselves in a fascinating and important beat. You’ll need to be superbly capable at interviewing sources, researching topics and issues, and translating that information into clear and compelling news content on deadline.
We are looking for a team member with solid grounding in news reporting and editing and an inquisitive mindset. You are a multitasker but pay keen attention to the details and like to work on a variety of tasks at the same time. You might be at the start of your career and eager to immerse yourself in a new and interesting beat. Or, you might have substantial expertise as a journalist and seeking a different challenge. We have the latitude to scale this position and compensation to suit the best candidate.
