LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Congratulations to our own Andrea Hamilton, who was recently honored with an Environmental Wellness HeRO Award! Andrea was celebrated by the MedStar Health Center for Wellbeing for creating an ongoing culture of wellness at our hospital.
“Andrea consistently uses her expertise in community health to ensure high-quality, relevant, and engaging wellness initiatives are offered to all associates at MedStar St. Mary’s,” said Crystal Morales, RN, director of Nursing Wellbeing, during a virtual presentation. “For years, Andrea has not only led the Wellness Committee at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital, but has also earned the Healthiest Maryland Business’ ‘Wellness at Work’ recognition, obtaining the highest distinction available in 2021.”
Beyond wellness, Andrea is a committed health educator and trusted colleague in the Population & Community Health department (pictured with her on Feb. 14, alongside hospital leadership). She has led many initiatives throughout COVID-19, including the hospital’s first drive-thru COVID testing in 2020.
