DALLAS – WKU Hilltopper Basketball’s Dayvion McKnight was named Conference USA Player of the Week for his dominant performance across WKU’s latest three victories, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Over the three games, McKnight averaged 23.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He shot 59% from the field during the week and made 17 of 20 free throws while playing 116 of 120 possible minutes.
The Shelbyville, Ky., native started the week with 26 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a Monday night road win at Southern Miss.
McKnight then followed with 22 points in Thursday’s victory over Charlotte, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in the first half.
The sophomore concluded the week Saturday on short rest with 23 points and seven rebounds in a full 40 minutes in a victory over Old Dominion.
This is McKnight’s second award of the season and WKU’s third overall.
