Our Gunners are looking to make it three wins from three in this year’s Women’s Champions League but an away tie against Juventus is our next obstacle to hurdle. 
Speaking to the media ahead of the big game, Katie McCabe acknowledged that the Italian champions will be “a massive test for us.”
“We’ve looked at Juventus and their strengths. Having seen and reviewed some footage in previous games they’ve played, we know they love to play football – that’s Joe Montemurro’s style of play. He loves to have technical ability within the team. They’ve got some pacey wingers in Beerensteyn as well.
“They had a terrific result against Lyon and for sure, they’ll be wanting to put on a great performance tomorrow night. We need to do our utmost to try to keep them at bay.”
Despite us recording our first loss in the WSL on Saturday, McCabe was keen to point out that the positive momentum built over the season so far is still very present.
“It’s been a fantastic start to the season in terms of the league and then obviously the Champions League as well. We’ve had some really good results. For us, because of how many games there are this side of Christmas, it’s about taking each day as it comes.
“It’s a cliche, but we just want to make sure we’re competitive in each game we play. And we’ve got continuity within how we play and I think through our performances, you can really see our identity within that as well.
“We’ve made sure we know our roles and responsibilities going onto the pitch and it’s about really backing our game plan, whatever that may be,” she added. “We’ll have a set-up tomorrow night that we’ll be looking to utilise in order to do all we can to get the result.”
McCabe will also be reunited with her former coach and ex-Gunner Joe Montemurro, who she credits with helping take her career to the next level.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him because I’ve not seen him in a while. I’ve got the utmost respect for Joe and how he helped me grow as a player within the Arsenal set-up when I came back from loan. He’s a big, big part of my career.”
When we head to Allianz Stadium this evening, it will sadly be without Beth Mead, after our winger suffered a serious injury in our last match against Manchester United. 
“It’s devastating for [Beth] coming off the pitch with an injury like that,” said McCabe. “She’s been so important for us over the last few years. The high she was on at the minute in terms of her personal achievements, having such a good Euros and a great start to the season for us.
“She’s going to be a massive loss but we’ve got a fantastic medical team around the club and they’ll be doing their utmost to try and get her back. She’s got great support in our team and we’ll be rallying around her, for sure.”

Vivianne Miedema makes her first start tonight since November 3 as we face Juventus in the Women’s Champions League. 
Our Dutch forward rejoined our squad after the November international break following a leave of absence and will be looking to add to her impressive goal tally in the competition with 26 goals across her European career. 
Elsewhere, Jordan Nobbs takes the armband for the third successive game and our October Player of the Month Frida Maanum continues in midfield. 
Fresh from her glorious debut goal for us against Manchester United at the weekend, Laura Wienroither also starts at the back with Katie McCabe on the opposite wing. 
We also have three players from our academy on the bench this evening, including goalkeeper Naomi Williams, defender Katie Reid, and striker Michelle Agyemang.
