The World Health Organization’s Global Tuberculosis Programme is pleased to announce the upcoming post-graduate course: WHO operational guidance on the management of TB in children and adolescents- a game changer to save young lives. The course is being organized as part of the 53rd Union World Conference on Lung Health on 25 October 2022, from 12:00 to 15:00 CEST.
This course will be delivered by speakers from WHO and experts on addressing TB in children and adolescents. The course is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the topics covered in the WHO operational handbook on the management of TB in children and adolescents and will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about, discuss and understand successful approaches to implementation.
The course will benefit anyone interested in ending TB among children and adolescents, including TB, maternal and child health, HIV and other programme managers, clinicians involved in prevention and care of children and adolescents with TB or at risk of TB, civil society organizations, community organizations, and implementing partners. It is expected that the audience will benefit from an in-depth orientation on the operational handbook and be inspired by successful approaches that can help end TB in children and adolescents.
Participation in the course is free. Interested participants need to register for the course prior to the session using the online registration form.
