Game-by-game predictions for the Oregon Ducks according to College Football News – Ducks Wire

One of the tell-tale signs that the football season is right around the corner is when record predictions start to come out. At USA TODAY, we have a longstanding relationship with College Football News, which annually puts out predictions not only for every conference in college football but most teams as well.
This past month, they released their predictions for the Oregon Ducks, who have a massive season ahead of them with the start of the Dan Lanning era. With a kick-off game against the defending champion Georgia Bulldogs, it will be tough sledding from the start. From there, things don’t get much easier with top-25 BYU coming to town in Week 3, and then Pac-12 play starting soon after that.
So how does CFN think that the Ducks will fare in the 2022 season? Take a look:

It doesn’t seem completely crazy to think that the Oregon Ducks could end up with a 9-3 record when all is said and done in the 2022 regular season. I think fans should be reasonably pleased with that outcome. However, I don’t think fans would be pleased if two of those losses came against Cal and Oregon State, as College Football News predicted.
Really? With games against BYU, UCLA, Utah, and Washington, it’s against Cal and Oregon State that the Ducks are going to stumble? That’s certainly a bold prediction. Regardless, Oregon fans should feel good about the fact that if they do finish with a 9-3 record and beat both UCLA and Utah, there’s a good chance that they will make it into the Pac-12 title game, likely against the USC Trojans.
