The Organisation for the Prevention of Blindness (OPC) has 12 employees divided between Paris (headquarters), NDjamena and Bamako, and 7 programmes in 5 countries (Chad, CAR, Mali, Congo, Mauritania). OPC supports actors in charge of public health in French-speaking African countries in order to obtain international funding, to strengthen their capacities and to implement comprehensive, accessible and quality prevention and care programmes for everything that can affect vision: infectious tropical diseases (river blindness, trachoma, etc.), eye diseases (cataracts, glaucoma, etc.) and refractive errors (glasses). Thus, it contributes to the sustainable goal of universal global health, to education, employment and quality of life, and to the fight against poverty. We are currently implementing a new Strategic Plan 2023-2028, and facing an increase in activities.

In this context, the OPC Programme Officer ensures the coordination and the smooth implementation of the field programmes,

CONDITIONS
1 year fixed term contract with prospects of permanent contract after the reorganisation of the OPC.
Remuneration 37,000 euros gross per year.
Full time or 4/5ths possible.
Position based in Paris France. Remote work possible up to 50% of monthly working time.
