Health First Plans Two New Acute Care And Wellness Facilities – Healthcare Design

Nonprofit integrated delivery network Health First (Rockledge, Fla.) is planning two new facilities for acute care and wellness services: Wellness Village at Merritt Island in Merritt Island, Fla., and Wellness Village at Melbourne in Melbourne, Fla.
Situated on 14 acres, Wellness Village at Merritt Island will include 120 patient beds, 30 emergency department bays, and six operating suites. It’s slated to break ground in 2023 and be completed in 2025.
Wellness Village at Melbourne will be located on 22 acres adjacent to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center and will feature an outpatient surgery center as well as sick care and preventive care. The project is scheduled to break ground in 2023 and be competed in 2024.
Additionally, both facilities will include a medical office building for primary and specialty care services; imaging and diagnostic services; retail space; fitness centers; and childcare facility.
