The Detroit Health Department will offer free immunizations — including the COVID-19 vaccine — and lead screenings for kids ages 5-17 at the Adams Butzel Recreation Complex in Detroit Saturday.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is the first of six Saturday pediatric wellness clinics the Detroit Health Department will host over the course of the summer.
“I encourage all caregivers to bring young Detroiters in their care to one of our Saturday pediatric wellness clinics this summer to keep their children up-to-date with free immunizations and testing for lead exposure,” said Denise Fair Razo, Chief Public Health Officer for the City of Detroit, in a news release.
“Vaccines and lead screening are vital to keeping our youngest Detroiters safe from many serious illnesses, including COVID-19, so they can stay healthy and grow up strong.”
