Kay Bailey Hutchison is a household name for multiple generations of Texans. Between her 20-year tenure as a U.S. senator from Texas and her time as U.S. ambassador to NATO, just about everyone knows of her.
And while Hutchison has seen a lot in her career, she’s keeping a close eye on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. What’s her take on the war there, the future of NATO and the United States’ place in it all?

Kay Bailey Hutchison, former NATO ambassador
Hutchison was the U.S. ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization from 2017-21. Previously, she was a U.S. senator for Texas from 1993 to 2013. Hutchison gained extensive international experience as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. She also served in the Texas House, as Texas state treasurer and as vice chair of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
