“New Year, New You.” That’s the mantra of many Americans at the start of a new year, and retail outlets are adequately equipped to help consumers meet their goals, whether it’s to eat healthier, stay hydrated or abstain from alcohol. Whole Foods has even created an online hub, Resolution Renovator, that helps people think differently about their resolutions. With New Year’s goals in mind, here are six new products prime for those health and wellness goals.

Evian Sparkling Water represents the brand’s first non-flavored sparkling water. Crafted using Evian spring water, which gets its distinctive taste via a 15-year natural filtration journey through the glacial rocks in the heart of the French Alps, the new variety will help continue to encourage healthy hydration, the brand said. Evian Sparkling will be sold in 330-mL and 750-mL glass bottles.

Sabra and Fifth Season have joined together to introduce salad kits featuring sustainably farmed greens paired with creamy, plant-based hummus, guacamole and whole grains. Available in the produce aisle, the salad kits will launch in two varieties: Mediterranean Hummus Salad and Avocado Ranch Salad. The salad meal kits will stay crisp for weeks, not days, in the fridge, the company says.

Ocean Mist Farms, a grower and marketer of fresh artichokes, is now shipping Frost Kissed artichokes, which will be intermittently available throughout the winter 2021/2022 season. Once the temperature drops below 32 degrees, the artichokes’ skin darkens due to the freezing conditions, which seals in more flavor and provides a nuttier flavor profile for Ocean Mist Farms’ Frost Kissed artichokes. The brown outer layer peels off once cooked resulting in the green artichoke shoppers are familiar with, the company said. Ocean Mist Farms will provide recipe inspiration through its social media channels, as well as share information on its website to educate consumers about the crop.

Miller Family Wine Co.’s newest wine venture, Hand on Heart, is a collection of premium, nonalcohol wines developed in collaboration with Iron Chef Cat Cora. The lineup is made for wine lovers who are looking for an occasional change of pace but don’t want to compromise on taste, said the company, which uses technology to gently remove the alcohol while preserving the delicate aromas, flavors and mouthfeel. Varieties include cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and rose.

Optimum Nutrition has launched new flavor of its Amin.o Energy + Electrolytes Sparkling Hydration drink: Orange Blast. The lightly carbonated drink has 100 milligrams of caffeine derived from natural sources such as green tea and green coffee bean extract. It also contains 5 five grams of amino acids and electrolytes to support energy, focus, hydration and recovery, the company said.

Sunwink, a female-founded plant-powered wellness company, has launched its Superfood Powders at Target stores across the U.S and on Target.com, with the goal of making superfoods the next biggest trend in ingestible beauty. Each powder can be used in a variety of ways, including as an addition to smoothies, coffee and plant-based milk or for mixing into hot or cold water. Varieties include Cacao Clarity, for caffeine-free energy and focus; Beauty Fruit Punch, for hydration and radiant skin; and Digestion Lemonade, to help with debloating.

Inflation is at its highest point in almost 40 years, says Datasembly CEO Ben Reich, who shares his take on the impact of price increases at major grocery chains.
