One of the best things about college is that you have access to a TON of free resources, activities and support.
Be sure to take advantage of these ten free wellness activities before you graduate.
Join Health and Wellness Services for their annual Health and Wellness Summit from Oct. 11-14! This year’s theme is the Power of Play. Learn how fun and play can improve your health, creativity and relationships as an adult. Students are also invited to attend the Take Care Street Fair at the end of the week as part of Family Weekend. The fair will feature interactive activities, games, resources and more.

Meet with a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) for a free consultation to discuss eating habits, meal planning, sports nutrition, lifestyle changes, recipe ideas and more. Consultations are available at Wardenburg Health Center and at the FitWell Suite in the Rec Center.

Get professional insight from a Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) provider during a free Let’s Talk session. Let’s Talk counselors are here to help students navigate specific issues and connect with services and resources on campus. Let’s Talk is a great way to explore issues related to anxiety, depression, relationships, academics, finances and more. Sessions are available in person and virtually through telehealth.

Each box is packed with supplies and resources to improve your overall well-being, whether you’re stressed about classes, planning to hook up or are feeling sick. Boxes are delivered directly to residence hall front desks in discreet packaging. Don’t live in a residence hall? Free supplies can also be picked up at Wardenburg Health Center in the Wellness Suite on the third floor.

Feeling groggy or tired between classes? Stop by one of the Relaxation Stations at the Rec Center or Wardenburg Health Center. Each station includes two nap pods that will lull you to sleep with a comfortable cushioned seat, customized sleep playlists and a gentle waking sequence. No reservation required, just drop by.

Want to get grooving or celebrate the end of a long week? Stop by The Rec on Fridays to enjoy a free group fitness class during Free Friday Power Hour (FFPH). Classes vary from week to week, so there are plenty of opportunities to try something new or different. FFPH is open to all Rec Center members with an active Buff OneCard. No registration required!

Peer Wellness Coaching is a free service where you can talk about your goals and ways to meet them with the help of a trained student. Peer wellness coaches can provide insight on what it’s like to be a CU Boulder student while helping you identify potential goals, steps you can take to achieve them and resources that may be helpful along the way. Coaching is available in person throughout the week. Simply schedule an appointment online!

The Rec Center offers free Inclusive Rec events to help build an inclusive, welcoming environment for all students. They host a variety of activities throughout the semester for students of all identities, abilities and levels of fitness. Join them to meet new people, try something new or put yourself out there in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere.

Join Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) for free weekly workshops to develop coping skills that can help you manage stress, anxiety and distressing emotions. These virtual workshops allow you to work through modules and interact with a CAPS counselor directly to ask questions or get more information. Workshops are open to all students.

Looking to stand out on job applications? Health and Wellness Services provides a number of free training opportunities for students to build and practice new skills related to health and wellness topics. You can even earn a non-degree certificate by attending five training sessions as part of the WellCU series.
